Nokia actually planning to produce a special camera for recording video "Virtual Reality (VR)" . VR device called Ozo is actually formally introduced by the former legendary handset manufacture Nokia. "Ozo will promote innovation VR to be a powerful tool for professionals who will create an extraordinary experience for everyone," said Nokia in a statement, as summarized from Cnet.
Ozo looks different from most cameras, with a round shape and a lens that is spread over the surface of the body, following the "neck" on one side. It looks like the head of an alien from a science fiction movie.
With eight synchronized global shutter sensor unit and eight microphones in it, Ozo able to record video and audio from all directions, 360 degrees in all directions. Video VR does require ability to look in all directions it. While enjoying the VR video via a special device such as Google Cardboard, viewers can move their heads to look at the surroundings in the video, as we look at the real world alone.
