How two hackers have managed to crack a Chrysler Jeep Fiat identifying the IP address of your media infotainment. But first things first. These are vehicles equipped with the service Uconnect infotainment platform developed infortainment BlackBerry, or the QNX.
But what has happened in practice? Developing an exploit that takes advantage of a serious vulnerability, the hacker Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek, through a phone and a notebook, they were able to remotely control a vehicle that was found several kilometers away. They could control the phone attached to the Bluetooth, air conditioning, start the engine, the brakes, the steering wheel and much more.
